Haloze and Jeruzalem are often referred to as the “pearls” of the Slovenian white wine region. With a large investment on their part, the two business partners Gerhart Conrad Fürst and Alois Gross newly terraced the steep slopes and planted typical varieties of the region: in addition to Sauvignon blanc and Pinot blanc, they specialize in Šipon, also known as Furmint, Alois Gross’ main goal is to explore the potential of this late-maturing variety, which is especially prominent in the Tokaj region, and make it available to a curious wine audience.
