RE-ESTABLISHED AFTER MORE THAN 60 YEARS

The Slovenian Denationalisation Act of 1991 enabled Walter Fürst to apply for restitution of his father’s properties. In 2004 he was allowed to regain ownership of his property after official proceedings lasting nearly 13 years. In addition to their family home in Ptuj, the Fürsts regained vineyards on the best lands in Jeruzalem, in the winegrowing area of Ljutomer- Ormo┼ż near the Croatian border. When his son Gerhart Conrad (V) confirmed his interest in re-establishing the family wine business, Walter transferred ownership of his 37 acres of vineyards to him. [more…]
