New winery in Slovenian Štajerska takes up old family tradition

Founded in 2007, the winery CONRAD FÜRST & SÖHNE (Conrad Fürst & Sons) continues its family winemaking tradition of European format on the best winegrowing sites of Slovenian Styria. It was founded by the wine pioneers Ernst and Conrad Fürst in 1821. Their descendant Gerhard Conrad Fürst, business mediator in Vienna, and exceptional winemaker Alois Gross from South Styria, Austria, merged their vineyards under the now re-established traditional brand, amidst the hills of Jeruzalem and Haloze.
